If Carlsburg did Yard’s...

Anna  Anderson and Crunchie - Part Livery - 2021

...Cow City would be one! Crunchie and I first came to Cow City for rehab livery. I instantly felt relaxed my horse was in safe and knowledgeable hands, they provided the best care, advice and support during a very stressful time. I then returned back a year later to part livery (after always being a diy-er!) I know I can trust the team to look after Crunchie to the standard I do when I travel with work and can’t get down. The whole yard has a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, the staff are super helpful and friendly. Drew and Laura are a great double act, always available and happy to help or offer advice. There’s always someone around for a cup of tea and everyone’s made to feel welcome (including my mum and husband who occasionally visit). You’re made to feel part of something. Something great! Highly recommend.

Cow City - Udderley brilliant

Georgie Whitaker and Mak - Full Ridden Livery -  2021

Mak and I have been at Cow City for almost 8 years and are the longest standing livery! We've seen a lot of people come and go over the years, but the one thing that has always been consistent is the incredible atmosphere which Drew and Laura have created. Cow City is the most friendly and supporting yard you will ever find and there are horses from field ornaments to competition horses. You are never judged for what you do or don't do with your horses which is so refreshing. I started on part livery, moved to full livery whilst Mak was in rehab after an operation and for the last 3 years Mak has been on ridden livery. It's a weight off my mind knowing he is always exercised regardless of time constraints I sometimes face. The level of care is always excellent and Drew and Laura have an open door policy, so any concerns are always quickly addressed. No yard is perfect but... Cow City is pretty close :)

The best "horsey" decision I have ever made

Sarah Gill and Daisy Duke - Full livery

Myself and Daisy moved to Drewlor Equine Livery on full livery on the 16th March 2013 - the best "horsey" decision I have ever made! Of course the facilities are excellent and my horse is very well looked after, but even more important to me was the immediate sense of family, friendship and complete professionalism. This was just what I was looking for. Nothing is too much trouble – the whole family and staff want you to enjoy your time with your horse. All in all Drew and Laura have given us more than we could have wished for in their livery service. My horse is so happy and so am I, I cant thank Drew and Laura enough.

It’s more like a big family than a clients and owner relationship

The Sinclairs - part of the furniture

The hardest part of writing this testimonial is deciding on the greatest bit to write about. We have decided to base our testimonial on the finest assets that Cow City has; Laura and Drew Evans. We arrived at the yard 8 months ago with very disheartened and horseless children, having left our previous yard and their share under a black cloud. Laura and Drew were there for them from the offset; always making sure that the girls never went without a horse to ride (if you could class their skills as riding back then). Since then the girls have gone from strength to strength, both on and off the horse. The life and technical skills they have learned through this inspirational couple will stay with them for life and no doubt stand them in good stead for the future. No matter the time of day or night you can be sure that they will be by your side; we lost a little pony we had on loan 5 months ago and despite it being 3 in the morning Drew was there to take charge and make sure that Galaxy’s suffering was minimal, while having to deal with a hysteric wife (mine I should add, not Laura). There is no doubt that Ruth could not have got through that experience without his support. Katie needed to bad news breaking to her, Laura picked up the pieces and took to not only breaking the news but helping Katie though weeks of tears and heartache at the sad loss. This is a small snippet of the dedication this couple show to their clients, although if I’m honest, it’s more like a big family than a clients and owner relationship. So in conclusion, they are an honest, straight talking couple who’s no nonsense approach ensures that all are treated equal and without favouritism. They will do everything within their powers to ensure the experience and time spent with your horse is enjoyable and relaxing, whilst providing a fun and safe environment for all. We as a family are extremely proud to know them and to be able to class them as friends.

Equine care always a priority.

The Hopes - DIY livery and help at the weekend

First class husband and wife run livery with a real family feel. Great facilities in a supportive and nurturing environment. Equine care always a priority. Lots of learning opportunities for riders of all ages and abilities. Highly recommended.

Thinking of moving yards? This would be the best move you could make!

I cannot recommend this livery yard highly enough, I initially came across them when a friend was looking to move livery yards and wanted another person’s point of view on it, to be fair it was a shame that at the time they didn’t offer DIY (which they do now) or I would have moved there in a shot! I have been to the yard a few times now for different reasons and have always found the staff or in fact the clients friendly, supportive and helpful which is a far cry from most yard atmospheres. I recently rescued and backed a rescue horse and brought him to Drewlor livery for his first outing with his buddy as I knew they would be understanding and helpful. Since that point I have also attended one of their clinics on him which was his first outing on his own so it was interesting! But all the clients encouraged me, helped me mount and by the end he was really enjoying himself as was I. The clinics are well organised, run on time, cater for all levels and above all are fun and reasonably priced with brilliant instructors. I am booked in for the next clinic already! Drewlor have brilliant facilities that can be used by external clients or liveries a like, a massive flood lit school, as well as a smaller one, jumps ,lorry parking ,and most importantly a loo and tea room J If you are thinking of moving yard I would say this would be the best move you could make! If my circumstances change then I wouldn’t hesitate to move my horses there.

Perfect for anyone looking for a supportive, friendly environment.

I first came across Cow City when a friend was considering moving her horse there. I went to look around with her and the main thing which struck me, and has continued to impress me, is just how genuinely friendly and supportive the whole yard is. Drew initially showed us around. His knowledge and compassion for horses was obvious and I felt confident that my friend would be in safe hands. I have been a frequent visitor to the yard over the last year and have always been made to feel very welcome by both the staff and the other liveries. I recently attended a clear round jumping event and while I am normally a nervous rider, I felt completely as ease with the encouragement and support given from the Cow City liveries. They really are a great bunch of people and it is refreshing to visit a yard with such genuinely nice people. Cow City has excellent facilities with 2 outdoor schools, excellent hacking and variable livery options. They hold external clinics with visiting instructors and liveries and external riders are all encouraged to fulfil their potential. It’s a great yard and would be perfect for anyone looking for a supportive, friendly environment.
